Welcome back to previous readers of WDW Mouse Tales and hello to the first time visitors.
In this weeks trip report I visited Magic Kingdom and Epcot to view the current construction.
There was quite a bit this week covering Main Street, USA and of course the Fantasyland
expansion. But first here are some shots of the cruise over on the Admiral Joe Fowler
When I strolled into the Magic Kingdom I immediately noticed that Main Street, USA
was still under a major refurbishment.
I made my way back to Fantasyland and discovered a brand new mountain has been erected
in Magic Kingdom. That is right folks DIRT MOUNTAIN!
(I don’t know if you can tell, but it is a little warm at dirt mountain today)
Looks like Winnie the Pooh did not want to be left out of the construction zone that
is Fantasyland. The entrance to this ride has been pushed out about 10 feet and now
you have construction walls on both sides of the walkway.
This weeks restaurant review will be the Liberty Tree Tavern. I have to say that
this was a very pleasant surprise. The food was great and it was a highly themed
restaurant. The meal was a little heavy for a hot summer day but I will certainly
visit this restaurant again.
I left Magic Kingdom and headed to Epcot to get another look at the construction
there. The scaffolding has been removed from the dome on top of Hacienda de San Angel
Restaurant being constructed outside the Mexico Pavilion.
While areas around Peter Pan’s Flight are still behind construction facades the front
entrance is now open and looks great.
My last photo of the week is also outside the Mexico Pavilion. Disney has constructed
a new backdrop for photos with the world’s most famous Duck.
