This week WDW Mouse Tales spent the evening at Epcot for a full review of the La
Hascienda Restaurant in Mexico along with a couple of attraction videos. First things
first though we headed on over to the Imagination Pavilion and immediately noticed
the brand new signs in the breezeway which you can see below.
I am very excited this week to bring to you one of the first POV videos that are
to come on the site. So enjoy a high definition ride on Journey Into Your Imagination.
I hope that in the coming years this will be more of a look back at an updated attraction
and with the rumors of Tony Baxter one of the original creators of Imagination being
in the building lately this may be in the works. Below are a few photos of the post
show area that has been taken apart with the removal of the Kodak branding from the
(Well what is left of Imageworks anyway)
(This and the waving your arms around music game is all that is left)
(These need to go soon)
So after leaving an attraction that in its current state leaves me with a bad taste
in my mouth I wanted something to wash it down. Can you guess what that might be?
In all seriousness folks if you have never been to the Club Cool at Epcot you have
to try the Beverly once. I have never met anyone that enjoyed this beverage. I guess
that is why next to these drinks they sell delicious Coca-Cola slushies.
So outside Club Cool work continues on the railing around the fountain. This seems
to be taking quite a while.
(I would love to get under here and take a look underneath this fountain)
Even more construction can be found inside the Mouse Gear store. Almost half of the
store including the entire back bank of registers is covered in construction wall.
Take a look below.
Overall crowds in the park are pretty light as you can see in the wait time sign
below that Soarin’ is only listed at 40 minutes. I spoke with a cast member earlier
in the day who told me that the day before all morning the ride was almost a walk
on. Great time to visit.
So making my way over to the La Hascienda Restaurant I could see that most of the
Food and Wine Festival booths are in place or being installed. Look below for a couple
pics of this.
(Not sure about this location)
These first photos below are of the outdoor quick service newly installed La Cantina
Restaurant. The seating is really in a great location on stilts over the Seven Seas
Next we made our way to our true destination for the evening the La Hascienda table
service Mexican Restaurant. We were really excited to check this out and it did not
disappoint. We had a delicious meal in a relaxing, beautiful atmosphere over looking
the Seven Seas Lagoon. You can find the full review along with video tour of the
restaurant here but suffice to say we loved it.
Here are some photos of the outside of the restaurant along with a video tour of
the outside of both La Hascienda and La Cantina.
(Concrete birds on the building?)
The photos below are a little preview of the review coming this week and to finish
out the report I have something really special to show you. If you are wondering
how Illuminations is from inside the restaurant, well look no further. When 9:00
rolled around the lights in the restaurant went almost completely dark and the soundtrack
of Illuminations was played inside the restaurant. See a good portion of the show
below in HD. Enjoy!
Have a magical week everyone see you in a couple of days with a full review and video
tour of the La Hascienda Restaurant.
